Privacy statement

1. Data controller
Meldstem (a trading name of Tundra Studio) is responsible for the processing of your personal data. You can reach us at info@meldstem.nl.
2. What data we process
We process the text you enter to create a greeting and, for an order, your email address and payment details. If you create an account, we store your email address and your order history. When cloning a voice, we also record your consent, with date and IP address. If you reach our site through an advertisement, we also record with your order which campaign you came from (a click number, without a name or profile). We also keep our own record of which pages are visited and which website visitors arrive from. This happens without cookies and without sharing data with third parties. We store the page path, the host name of the referring site, a random session number that disappears when you close the tab, and your IP address. We also temporarily store the text you enter for a free preview. We do this to prevent misuse of the free previews and to see where visitors get stuck, so we can improve the service. We delete these visit records automatically after 30 days and we never use them to contact you. We do not ask for more.
3. Purpose and legal basis
We use your data to generate your greeting, handle your order and stay in touch with you about it. The basis is the performance of our agreement and, for our records, a legal obligation.
4. Who processes your data
We use carefully chosen providers: Supabase (storage and accounts, EU region), Cloudflare (hosting), Mollie (payments) and a specialised voice-generation provider. We have data-processing agreements with these parties. If you reach us through an advertisement, after an order we only report back to the advertising platform that the click led to a purchase; we do not share your name, text or other customer details. If you contact us through the WhatsApp button, that conversation runs through WhatsApp, part of Meta. What you send there is also covered by the WhatsApp privacy terms; we keep only what we need to handle your question.
5. Transfer outside the EU
To generate speech, the text you enter is processed by our voice-generation provider, which may also process data outside the European Union. Appropriate safeguards apply to that transfer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We will provide the name of this provider on request via info@meldstem.nl.
6. How long we keep data
We keep data no longer than necessary for the service and no longer than the statutory retention period for our records (seven years for invoices). After that we delete it.
7. Your rights
You may access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data, and you can object or request transfer. Send a message to info@meldstem.nl. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
8. Cookies
We only use functional cookies needed to make the website and login work. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies.
